ISO 14001 was formed in the year 2004. It mostly deals with the clauses of keeping the environment clean and healthy. This means if a company needs the certification of ISO 14001 then they must follow certain norms which are set by the ISO 14001 so that they can make not harm to the environment while they produce their product. These clauses are very carefully designed because the companies today have causes a lot of harm to the environment and the pollution is growing. Keeping this is mind and having the idea to lessen this, the clause of the ISO 14001 was designed.
The ISO 14001 helps in the identification of the problem causing area which is in the process of the production and causes harm to the environment. The activity that the company does or the service it provides and the products they manufacture should be all environment friendly, otherwise the company does not get an ISO 14001 certification. The clauses set in the ISO 14001 has to be followed but this is not just enough, the companies need to demonstrate and show that the targets are fulfilled and that they are not harming the environment in any way.
